Description: Loves Valley Road is a much-desired location, being the home of many well-known ranches, i.e., Polo Ranch, Bob Loomis, Dick Pieper, Carol Rose - just south in Gainesville, Texas, and numerous others.
This family operation has spared nothing. The headquarters is dominated by a 3600+ sq. ft. home and a 100'x60' enclosed arena with 100'x20' attached shed. The arena was built to double as an exercise/sale barn with attached stalls. The attention to detail shows the attention of a real horse trainer. The pastures consist of approximately 40 acres fenced with smooth wire near the headquarters which features Bermuda grass and smaller grazing areas for a total of 135 acres of quality Bermuda. The remainder of the ranch, fenced with barbed wire, is mostly native grasses - Bluestems, Indian, and switch grasses. Following the wet summer of 2007, these grasses are dense and mature. There are small areas of timber along waterways and hillsides, giving cover for wildlife. Stock water is more than adequate from stock ponds (tanks) in the pastures. Two wells and storage tanks provide water for the home, barns, pens, etc.
The 3600+ sq. ft. main house was remodeled extensively in 1995, and is in excellent condition. It has eight bedrooms and three baths on two floors. It is built for family living with a large kitchen/dining area with additional dining space between the kitchen and the back porch overlooking the valleys below and a large hillside to the northeast. The living room has an Ashley wood-burning stove which reduces the heating costs for this very large home. In addition to the large back porch there is a large front porch which runs the length of the house on the west side of the house. The back entrance porch has space for storage of outdoor apparel.
The second house is a really neat three bedroom, two bath mobile home which is located in a remote area of the ranch and is surrounded by many fruit trees.
