Description: Formerly a portion of the Great Plains, this ranch has changed with the times. Dense growths of timber, covering approximately 25% of the property, have engulfed creek areas, leaving huge expanses of native grass meadows, overflowing with the grasses native to this area, including Indian, switch, and blue stem, allowing for rotational grazing, if desird. More than forty ponds (tanks), water wells and rural water taps are scattered throughout the ranch, providing adequate water for livestock and wildlife.
Deer, quail, turkey, dove and other species abound on this ranch. There has been no hunting allowed on the property for the past year.
The fences are fair to average for this area.
Facilities include: 20'x36' concrete block tack and feed storage; 20'x72' horse shed with stalls, attached to feed buliding and pipe runs; 24'x40' equipment storage; 16'x33' vehicle storage; 20'x30' shop building; 40'x100' pole barn with 33'x100' shed; an older frame home; a small mobile home; and three sets of corrals - 1. located at headquarters - all metal, round style, two loading chutes, with small shed attached, 2. located at big barn - all metal, automatic squeeze chute, fairbanks scale, and vet supply building, and 3. small, older, wooden set in northeast corner of ranch, in fair to poor condition.
